The Abraham Slimmer Heritage Society recognizes people who have created an estate or deferred gift commitment for Waverly Health Center. Their gifts share a deep passion to ensuring our future.
Leave your legacy today! Abraham Slimmer left his legacy on our hospital by making the very first planned gift in 1902, which founded what is now known as Waverly Health Center.
Why Give?
Creating an estate or deferred gift for WHC is a way to ensure the future of our hospital. Over the years, our donors have helped us make significant strides in the areas of medical services, advanced technology and patient services. More funding is needed to secure medical equipment and endowment support for our emerging needs. Creating an estate or deferred gift will ensure our ability to continue to provide high quality, patient-centered health care for years to come.

What to Give?
Many options are available when considering planned gifts. Planned gifts enhance your personal well being and WHC. You are invited to explore these options with your professional advisor to create a deferred or estate gift that has the most meaning for you. Those include:
- Bequests (the most widely used form of estate giving)
- Charitable Gift Annuities (increase income, reduce taxes, guaranteed income)
- Charitable Remainder Trust (increase income, reduce taxes, unlock appreciated assets)
- Life Insurance Policy (make us owner and beneficiary, receive deduction on premiums)
- IRA or Pension (gifts from your IRA apply to minimum distribution, or name us beneficiary)
- Life Estate (gift home or farmland, retain right to use property, receive deduction)
- Outright Gift (establish minimum endowment of $10,000 with cash, property or stock)
- Other (use the enclosed pledge form to describe your gift in greater detail)
