| | Waverly Health Center’s registered dietitians oversee inpatient nutrition care and provide outpatient nutrition therapy upon referral from a physician (see attached referral form) to individuals whose health status would improve with nutrition intervention and education.

Individual counseling, group counseling, programs and workshops are available for cardiovascular/hypertension, diabetes, eating disorders, general nutrition and wellness, weight management, and sports nutrition.
Diabetes Education Program:
WHC’s Diabetes Self Management Education program, recognized by the American Diabetes Association and certified by the Iowa Department of Public Health, provides both individual and group instruction. New classes are offered each month. The program begins with an individual assessment. Meal planning, exercise, medication and monitoring are covered in the program. A free diabetes support group is also available.
