Waverly Health Center Volunteers
If you are looking for a way to help your community, think about volunteering at Waverly Health Center. We depend on our volunteers to help the hospital run smoothly. You choose how much you volunteer. Some volunteers work as little as one to two times a year, or as much as three times a week.
Who Volunteers
- High school and college students (age 14 and older)
- Adults of all ages

Auxiliary Mission
“The Waverly Health Center Auxiliary will develop and maintain an efficient, competent, and humanistic volunteer program. We will assist the staff to ensure an extra dimension of care and service to patients with our presence and our financial support in a responsible manner.”

Auxiliary Member Benefits
Auxiliary members can go to Iowa Hospital Association (IHA) programs during the year. Legislative Day is a yearly IHA event that gives Auxiliary members the chance to meet with Iowa leaders and stay up-to-date on health care topics. Other events sponsored by the IHA allow Auxiliaries from across the state to meet and share ideas.
Auxiliary Fundraisers
The Waverly Health Center Auxiliary raises money to provide college scholarships for students entering health care careers and to help fund special Waverly Health Center projects. Each spring, the Auxiliary announces its fundraising goal for the year and Auxiliary members are invited to make a tax-deductible gift of money to show their support.
