Accreditation & Quality

Joint Commission

Joint Commission accreditation indicates that a facility meets stringent performance standards and is committed to continuously improving the safety and quality of its care. WHC is Joint Commission accredited for all hospital and clinic services, laboratory and durable medical equipment.

Since its founding by a patient in 1978, Planetree has defined what it means to be patient-centered. Planetree’s philosophy is based on a simple premise: care should be organized first and foremost around the needs of patients. Waverly Health Center was the 9th hospital in the world to attain designation as a Planetree Patient-Centered Hospital. In 2012, WHC obtained re-designation.
