The Center for Pediatric Therapies Celebrates One-Year Anniversary: Expanding to Meet the Growing Needs of Children and Families

November 15, 2024

Waverly Health Center and Taylor Physical Therapy celebrate one year since the opening of the Center for Pediatric Therapies.

The Center for Pediatric Therapies is celebrating its one-year anniversary, marking a year of exceptional growth and service. Located at Waverly Health Center (WHC), the center has seen such demand for its services that it has outgrown its original space. This growth has prompted an expansion and the addition of three new skilled therapists to better serve the community.

Over the past year, Taylor Therapy’s comprehensive pediatric team has been proud to offer a wide range of pediatric therapies, including physical, occupational and speech therapy. The team provides high-quality, individualized therapy that is tailored to meet the unique needs of each child. Each personalized treatment plan supports the child’s development and empowers families with the tools and resources they need to succeed at home and in everyday life.

“We are thrilled to celebrate this milestone and are incredibly grateful to the families in our care for their trust and support,” said Deb Gayer, MSPT-CLT and Taylor Physical Therapy co-owner. “Our team-based approach is designed to recognize and address the individual needs of children with a variety of developmental delays, diagnoses and special health care needs.”

Looking toward the future, WHC and Taylor Physical Therapy remain committed to providing a welcoming, inclusive environment where every child’s unique needs are addressed. The team is continuously assessing the needs of the community and obtaining the education and certification necessary to meet those needs. The center’s expansion will build upon the existing space and feature additional treatment rooms to serve more children and families.

“Our goal is to ensure that every child receives the care they need to thrive,” said Jodi Geerts, WHC chief executive officer. “By continuing to grow and adapt, we can meet the needs of more families and provide the consistent, compassionate care that children deserve. We are so proud of what we’ve accomplished in just one year, and we’re excited to continue supporting our patients as they reach their full potential.”
