What is pulmonary rehab?

Pulmonary rehab is a program for people with long-term lung conditions such as

  • interstitial lung disease

The program contains teaching, control of medicines, exercise, breathing retraining, diet counseling and emotional support.

How will pulmonary rehab help me?

The purpose of a pulmonary rehab program is to help people lead a full, satisfying life. It helps restore them to their highest possible functional ability.

What should I look for in a pulmonary rehab program?

Look for a program that is designed exactly for people with lung problems. The program should be run by health care providers who have experience in caring for people with long-term lung conditions. The classes should be tailored to your exact needs.
