After learning the news of expecting their first child, soon to be new parents Bryce and Keela Moats were unsure what they wanted in a provider relationship and hospital experience. The high remarks given by friends and co-workers helped them choose Waverly Health Center. In our women’s clinic, mothers begin meeting with our team of providers when they are at least 8 weeks along in their pregnancy. From their very first appointment, Bryce and Keela said, “We felt comforted by Dr. Martin’s knowledge and patience. Every provider we met with seemed knowledgeable and was helpful in answering our questions as the months progressed. ”
Due to living 1 hour away from Waverly, Keela was glad the staff in the birthing center was available at all times to answer her phone calls. After arriving at the hospital the Moats were greeted with a calm and kind atmosphere. “Our nurses, Jess and Brenda, were so reassuring and continuously told me how great I was doing. They knew my birth plan and were so considerate of my fear of needles and my desire to continue without pain medication,” stated Keela. “Our nurses and doctors made us feel capable and strong and that is worth more than words could ever say.”
Uriah Thomas Moats was born just two and a half hours after arriving at Waverly Health Center. After his birth Keela and Bryce were supported by a team of doctors and nurses who helped them learn how to care for their new life. “They went absolutely above and beyond for us,” Keela added.
Bryce and Keela finished, “Even after taking our son home, when nights are hard I still remember the advice and encouragement of the staff at Waverly Health Center and it truly makes all the difference.”
